On the frost-cracked precipice, a lone four-eyed analyst takes one final breath in preparation f- whoa now! It’s /just/ the “Marvelous March” Update!

Good morrow to you, fair one,

Let’s start with some tunes:

Muzak was really prevalent back in the day, but now it’s practically extinct. Got to admit I have a soft spot for “lounge jazz” as it were; always a really good, smooth feeling to the music and never too overbearing.

Anyway, music isn’t what you came for, let’s talk about the books:

February has been mostly functional and without too much trouble. I’ve messed with pricing, ads, and promotion for a good while, and it looks like I’m making just a little more now than I was. Still a negligible amount of income, but that’s not why I’m doing all of this, is it?  Monetary success is nice and all, but you and I both know an empty mansion is the inferior to a full shack. Let’s hope I find more readers soon so I can say goodbye to ramen forever. I’ve gotten really accustomed to the flavor, but gee, it does get old, and there’s only so many spices you can add to give it variety.

I have secured enough capital for the new covers, however, so a big celebration to that! You’ll be seeing covers for the Courts Divided Series, the S7 books, Nocturna League, and more over the next half-year or so. Look forward to more wonderful new images and some extra gussied up interiors.

I won’t rattle you too much with it, but take a look at the handsome new interior style for Nocturna League:

Noc 2title

Not so bad, eh?

I like it at least, and you can expect more things that I like at least to be showing up in the interiors of the books as they come out. Look forward to more little extra touches like this as I sharpen up them to be the best they can be.

Project news:

Drafts for NL 7, 8, and 9 are all finished, and I’m in the business now of completing 10, the second novel, and twistiest of the books yet. I promise you the build up and pay offs will be exhilarating, as well as answering a few prime questions I know many of you have been asking. Of course, don’t worry too much about figuring everything out, because #10 will open just as many loose ends as it closes, probably way more, to be honest! I can see NL going on at least for ten more episodes after #10, so no big worry about not getting enough of your spooky eldritch fix; we got plenty more where that came from.

By the way, Episode Seven is coming out on March 15th, and you can preorder it for 66% off right here. It’ll touch back up to full price around launch day, so consider it my thanks for sticking with me all this time and as a token of my general appreciation for your patronage. So… uh, thanks for a’buyin’ my booksa’!

*ehem*

Most of my other projects are still too under wraps to talk about them much here, so I’m afraid I’ll have to leave you hanging for the most part. Rest assured, though, the other series are going well, and there’s all sort of radical secret stuff in the works.

Also, I have a question for you. If you’ve read any of the Courts Divided books or any of the later Nocturna League episodes, I’m sure you’ve been acquainted to Overlord Chaos’ kooky minions at least once. Now my question to you is this: if you could have just one of them on a mug, which minion would it be? I await your response~

With all of that out of the way, it’s time for this month’s author swap and giveaway thingie:

Author swap:

Introducing theoretical fiction writer A.O. Monk. He writes weird, “high-concept” stuff like the kinds of stories you’d find on The Twilight Zone.

You can check out his newest book: I Am Not Thirteen right here. If the title didn’t tip you in, it’s about some poor person that experiences a rather exceptional form of age-regression, and it only gets weirder that there’s one person added in to her revisited youth; some weirdo that happens to know quite a bit about her condition.

Aaaand if you’re looking for a little more selection:

The Magic Rises Giveaway is a ton of books from fantasy authors, and I agreed to chip in and help out. Many of them are legit 100% free or at least price-reduced, so consider taking a peek and see if you can’t find something you’d enjoy. You best be fast, though, the promotion ends tomorrow.

Alright, that’s all I have for you this month. As always, if you want to find out more or get your hands on stuff a little earlier, consider joining the facebook group and saying hello. I hope to have a little more for you next month, but as always I need to get all these dang cyber-cheetahs off of me before I can get a word in edgewise!

Until next time,

Kell Inkston
