The Scar

The end of a centuries-old conflict brings with it more than peace.

After the events of Woodcastle, Knight Law returns to the front lines of the war: as miserable and gruesome as ever. This time, he’s put in charge of a small team with the sole intention of drawing artillery fire. It’s an idiotically dangerous task to fight as bait, but considering how people don’t like half-dragons much: it’s not an unexpected assignment. His team mates appear to be the typical Western magic-wielding stock: never touched a rifle in their lives and each with wild dreams of burning easterners.

That is, except for one.

His name’s Vulrick, and aside from being the most experienced soldier on the team aside from Law, he’s been party to the war for the longest by far. A victim of war-crimes stemming from before the conflict was even recognized by the nations, Vulrick brings more to the team than even he would expect:
