Spooky Month Time – The Kell Inkston Update: October 2024

It’s that time again! Enjoy some scary jams with me~

And by “scary jams” I mean “let’s listen to Luigi hum nervously for a few minutes.”

Anyway, let’s get to it.

This month’s featured art is by Franibear – Would you dare trick or treat with the understanding that there’s Royal Knights about?! Meeo seems all too happy to see them, though.

Fall time is one of my special little enjoyments in life. I can love and persist through just about anything by this point (or so I think!) but there’s something markedly special about the chilly winds greeting me once again. Granted I don’t consider myself a “white girl” Fall lover. You’ll see no pumpkin spice lattes here, but the crispness of the air and the feeling of the night gives a reminder of the coming Winter: the best season of all is just around the corner.

That said, I’m cooking up an extra special spooky month surprise for those of you who have been waiting so long. Just wait a few days, because not only will it be one of my longest short stories, but it’ll have a particularly neat feature that I think you’ll find wonderful.

Look forward to it sometime prior to Halloween, okay?

Next on our list…

Spooky Month Special: Get Substation 7’s first book for positively FREE!

That’s right, I’m running a group promo for some keen dystopian fiction, and now you (or anyone you want to be similarly worried by the contents within) can enjoy the thrills and adventure found within the pages of Condemnation, Substation 7’s first book. This completed four book series follows young genius Clare as she attempts to discover the truth of her mother’s fate.

I’ll give you a spoiler: there’s a massive conspiracy about it.
You can get this fine book (as well as more from other authors) by checking out the giveaway page here: or at https://books.bookfunnel.com/dystopianfantasy2/fkmqcyk37x

Enjoy!

Next month we should have a sneak peek of the new website – for real this time, though I expect this year’s October surprise will be more than fair enough for the wait.

Talk to you again soon,
Kell Inkston
