First some good music:
New blood in the “chillhop” scene, Kanoko delivers those mid-day blues with a healthy dose of spiritual optimism – do enjoy.
XForce Book 2: a slight delay (but for good reason)
Yes, Kell loses again (by secretly winning)
Xtreme Force’s second and even bloodier fantasy satire will be pushed back a few months from the expected publication date due to some extra polishing required on the manuscript’s story.
The publisher and I had an honest sit down over it, and I concur that there are a few parts that could be made even better.
Like the creator of Mario once said: “A rushed game is bad forever” – there’s no hurry to make good things in the world, especially when you want them to be… you know, good.
More news to follow in the coming months. Don’t worry too much about your next fill of over the top ultraviolence.
Featured art of the month: Parv’d on! by @Inkya
Haha, grow up, Order – you can’t just let your dumb dog kickflip on you like that.
Classless.

The big Project X announcement AKA What Kell has actually been doing all this time
Yes, it’s (mostly) time.
Perhaps you too have heard the murmurings of discontent:
“What in the world has Kell been up to this whole year?!”
“Only ONE book release for 2023?!??!”
“That slacker. I’m gonna punch him on his noseless face!”
For now, allow me to thinly lift the veil of secrecy for you:
- I’ve been approached to be the lead writer of a Visual Novel project – I accepted, and have been working on the script, story, game design, and more like a little madman – Psychological horror/romance… yeah it’s going to be weird. Details to follow as the actual display demo is finished (expect Winter)
- Several short stories, one of which has been teased, and the other which is slated to be published in a writing anthology.
- An incoming redesign of Kellinkston.com – gone are the days of quaint but austere website user interfaces: we’re going all-out with this new one, so look forward to it. I’m talking new art, new links, new pages, new buttons, all sorts of radical stuff in a wild-class upgrade.
- Even more schemes I can’t tell you about – more projects, more secrets, more surprises that are simply too early to show off or even mention.
Look forward to big huge things in the future. I know I say that all the time, but I really do mean it.
All the best to you,
K.
“Hahaha hey everybody! My entire personality is based on drinking coffee!!?!” – dumb idiot that writes books
